Backup Relay Servers

Email relay servers provide an alternate destination for your incoming email in the event that your mail server is down, or is otherwise inaccessible to the Internet.  Incoming mail is stored for up to seven days, adequate for all but the most disastous outages and regular attempts are made to deliver the mail onward to your mail server. In the event of a major problem, arrangements can be made to deliver your mail to an alternate destination.

Virus Scanning

All your incoming email can be scanned for viruses, and can have all detected viruses removed before being delivered to onwards to your mail server. The virus database is updated 4 times daily, providing protection from new viruses almost as soon as they are identified

Spam Filtering

Email originating from known or suspected spam sources can be blocked using "Realtime Black Hole" (RBL) lists. This process can reduce the number of spam messages by up to 80%. The RBLs used contain lists of internet addresses (IP addresses) which have been identified by third parties as sources of spam email.

Email Redirection
Email sent to your domain can be redirected en-masse to an alternative domain name hosted elsewhere.
